Vision Mission 2026
We’re looking forward to another incredible week of helping improve and protect vision in Jamaica! The Issa Trust Foundation will once again bring eye care professionals to Jamaica to provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care.
WHAT IF A CHILD IS STRUGGLING IN SCHOOL SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAN’T SEE CLEARLY?
For more than a decade, the Issa Trust Foundation, in partnership with the Lions of Michigan, has brought critical vision care to communities across Jamaica. Together, we have screened more than 10,000 children and provided prescription glasses to thousands who needed them.
This September, our Vision Mission 2026 continues that commitment.
A team of 22 dedicated volunteers, including optometrists, an optician, a medical doctor, and trained technicians, will provide comprehensive eye examinations, identify vision concerns, and fit individuals for prescription glasses when needed.
This year, we are also expanding our services to include diabetic retinopathy screening, helping identify potentially serious eye disease before vision is permanently affected.
We anticipate providing vision services to approximately 2,000 individuals, including children and employees of Couples Resorts as well as students at Savanna-la-Mar Inclusive Academy.
Your support helps make programs like our Vision Mission possible and allows the Issa Trust Foundation to continue bringing healthcare, medical expertise and hope to children and communities across Jamaica.
